In the summer of 1863, the then 23-year-old journeyman shoemaker Carl Semler registered his independent shoemaking business as a business in the former landgrave's garrison town of Pirmasens. A lot has happened at Semler since then. In the fifth generation of family ownership, we have developed into a leading manufacturer of comfortable women's shoes. But we have not forgotten the beginnings of the Semler company.
